Does England have the most diverse history in the known world?
USA history has been the subject of my last few posts, and because of this, I’ve decided to take a little break from that to discuss some English History. Being a lover of History, I am pleased to live in a Country which is well known across the globe for its history. I pose the question, does England have the most diverse history in the known world? I believe the answer must be ‘Yes’.
Lets take a look why. Each of the topics I will discuss in better detail in future posts.
- Invasions of England - Vikings, Romans, Jutes, Angles, Saxons, Normans
- Tower of London
- Executions and Executioners
- Magna Carta
- Kings and Queens of England - Stuarts, Tudors, Georgian, Victorian
- The wars, including:- Napoleonic Wars, WW1, WW2, Falklands, American Independence, Civil War & many more
- Colonisation of the Americas
- Colonisation of Australia
- The Black Death
- Famous people: - Wellington, Francis Drake, Nelson, Shakespeare, Oliver Cromwell and many more
- Medieval England
- and so much more…
What other country has all this history? The USA, of course has much history of its own, but lets look at one point in regards to this, would it be false to conclude that American history, other than native history, stems from English history. I know some might take offence at that remark, but truth be told, if it wasn’t for England, a large percentage of Americans would not be living in the US today. And also, is English not one of the top two languages in the world? Exception in the battle for greatest history should also be given to Egypt for they have a great culture including the pyramids and the Pharaohs.
Perhaps there are some amongst you who disagree with me. It will be interesting to hear your thoughts so please feel free to comment if you wish

Most Diverse? maybe, what about Russian history, mongol ivasions Genghis Khan, peter, catharine, Russian Revolution, communism, They’re title as the 3rd rome, stalin, involvement in WW2 was arguably the most important of all the allies, the fall of the Berlin wall and the subsequent collapse of the Soviet Union.
